COVID-19 Malaysia and Prediction

A project by UTM in collaboration with UNISZA and USM

DESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS PREDICTIVE ANALYSIS

How many more MCOs are required to really flatten the curve?

Will it be safe if the schools and universities open immediately?

How many people should be allowed in a mosque at one time if the mosques got to open to operate as usual?

How many working days in a week would be safe for workforce?

What could be the effect if we allow all age groups of people go out at once?

Our team has come up with 5 predictive models where you are able to view predictions using various formulas and calculations, to give insights to some of the questions you may have.

Malaysia is now entering the recovering phase of RMCO. We are encouraged to continue adhering to the 3Cs and 3Ws as advised by the Ministry of Health.

3C's: Avoid Crowded places; Confined spaces; Close conversations

3W's: Wash hands frequently with water and soap; Wear facemasks in public areas or if symptomatic; Warn self and others of the following:

  1. Avoid shaking hands or touching others
  2. Practice good coughing and sneezing etiquette
  3. Disinfect frequently touched surfaces
  4. Stay at home
  5. Seek treatment if symptomatic
